For hotels in Sri Lanka

Hotel management software, built in Sri Lanka.

One system for your bookings, front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and accounts, from a 6-room guesthouse in Ella to a beach hotel in Negombo. Supported by the team that builds it, on your time zone.

Set up for how Sri Lankan hotels run
  • Books in LKR, approximate USD prices for foreign guests
  • Service charge and VAT, inclusive or on top
  • Foreign guest register with passport details
  • Confirmations and requests over WhatsApp
  • Restaurant bills that post to the room
  • Local support on a +94 number
Why local matters

Software that already knows how you bill.

Most hotel systems are built for another market and adjusted for this one. Orian starts from the way properties here actually work: rupees and dollars, service charge on the bill, foreign guests to register, and guests who would rather send a WhatsApp than an email.

Support on Sri Lanka time

The team that builds Orian answers your call, in your time zone, on a +94 number. No reseller in the middle and no overseas ticket queue.

Books in rupees, prices in dollars too

Keep your accounts in LKR while international guests see an approximate US dollar price on your booking page, at an exchange rate you control.

Service charge and VAT, done properly

Set the way you bill, inclusive or added on top, broken out on guest invoices, with your tax registration number on restaurant receipts.

The foreign guest register

Passport, nationality and purpose of visit captured at check-in, and a register you can print or export when it is asked for.

WhatsApp, where your guests already are

Booking confirmations, pre-arrival details and guest requests by WhatsApp or email, with every conversation in one shared inbox.

When the power or the internet drops

The front desk keeps a saved copy of today's arrivals, in-house guests and balances, so you still know who is arriving and where everyone is staying.

Switching

We do the setup. You keep running the hotel.

  1. Step 1

We map how you run today

Where your bookings come from, how the restaurant bills a guest, what your accountant needs at month end.

  2. Step 2

    We load your property

Room types, rooms, rates, taxes and your existing future bookings, so the demo and the go-live are your own hotel.

  3. Step 3

    We train each team

Front desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff each learn their own screens, on your setup.

  4. Step 4

You go live on a quiet day

With someone from our team through the first check-ins and the first night audit. Typically about a week from start.

Before you ask

Questions hoteliers here ask us.

Is Orian built in Sri Lanka?

Yes. Orian HMS is built, run and supported by Oriantec, a Sri Lankan company. You deal directly with the team that writes the software, not with a reseller.

Can I keep my accounts in rupees and show prices in US dollars?

Yes. Your property keeps its books in its own currency, such as LKR, and your booking page can show international guests an approximate price in US dollars at an exchange rate you set. Guests are charged in your own currency, and the page says so.

Does it handle service charge and VAT?

Yes. Service charge and VAT are set per property, named the way your invoices need them, and applied either inclusive or on top. Guest invoices show the breakdown, and restaurant receipts carry your tax registration number.

Does it connect to Booking.com and Agoda?

The channel manager is built in, so your rates and availability are managed from the same calendar as your front desk and booking engine. Your Booking.com, Agoda and Expedia connections are set up with you during onboarding and tested before you go live, and until a channel is connected it keeps running from its own extranet as it does today.

What happens during a power cut or an internet outage?

Orian runs in the cloud, so it keeps working on any device with a connection, including a phone on mobile data. If the front desk loses its connection, it keeps a saved copy of today's arrivals, in-house guests and balances to work from, clearly marked as saved, until the connection returns.

How much does it cost?

One monthly price per property, based mainly on your room count, with setup, data import and training included and no commission on your direct bookings. We confirm the figure on a call rather than guess at it here.

How long does it take to switch?

About a week for a single property with reasonably tidy data. We load your rooms, rates and existing bookings, train your team, and go live on a quiet day.

We load your own rooms and rates before the demo, and tell you plainly where Orian fits your property and where it does not.
